If you are looking to switch your business energy supply, before accepting our competitive price, take a look at our Quotation & Contract FAQs below. Alternatively, contact our team on 0161 762 7744: if you require further assistance when switching to Crown Gas & Power.

Where can I get a quote for my business energy supply?

Complete our quote form to receive our competitive energy rates online today. Our Account Managers will then be in touch to finalise your supply contract and complete your switch. Take a look at our switching process here.

What different contract types do you offer?

Our contracts are available in variable lengths and range from 12-60 months. Furthermore, each supply contract will suit smaller business sites, SMEs, multi-meter or multiple site commercial properties. Either enquire online, contact our Account Managers on 0161 762 1883 or email hello@crowngas.co.uk and we will be able to explain more about our services and our supply contracts.

When will my contract go live?

Once you have accepted your new energy supply agreement with us, it can take up to 15 days to complete our supply transfer process. Once completed, you will receive our welcome pack, which explains more about us, how to arrange an AMR installation & how to register for your ‘My Account’.

My current energy supplier is objecting to my energy supply transfer. What should I do?

Delays with your energy supply transfer could be due to your previous supplier making an objection. We will get in contact with you if this is the case. We will also keep you up to date with any issues regarding your supply transfer.

Reasons for objection could be:

  • You have an outstanding balance
  • You are still in a valid contract

If an objection occurs, our team will ensure your transfer is completed conveniently causing as little disruption as possible. Therefore, if there is anything on your site that could cause an issue, simply let us know.

If I am moving premises, how should I inform my energy supplier?

Complete our Moving-Out and our team will get in touch with you. Alternatively, you may contact our Change of Tenancy team at cot@crowngas.co.uk. We will then go through all the necessary steps with you to process your request.

Once I’ve moved out of my property how quickly will I receive my final bill?

Once we have updated our records for your new site, we will aim to send your final bill within two weeks.

What should I do once I have moved into new business premises?

If you are moving to a new property that Crown Gas & Power already supplies, please complete our Moving-In form, thereafter, our Change of Tenancy team will be in touch to discuss a business gas solution for your business.

When will Crown Gas & Power apply Out of Contract rates?

If no renewal contract has been agreed with us then you will be placed on our Out of Contract rates upon your contract end date. These rates will continue to apply until you either enter into a new contract with us or switch to another supplier. If you wish to discuss the terms of a new contract our Renewals team are available at renewals@crowngas.co.uk or 0161 762 1883.

When will Crown Gas & Power apply Deemed Rates?

If no formal contract has ever been agreed with Crown Gas & Power, you will be placed on our Deemed rates. Deemed rates will continue to apply until you either enter into a contract with us or switch to another supplier. If you wish to discuss the terms of a new contract then get in touch with our Sales team on sales@crowngas.co.uk or 0161 762 1883.

Where can I view my contract end date?

When you enter into a contract with us we will clearly display the contract end date on your contract, welcome pack and renewal letters. We will also show the contract end date on all your invoices.

Will I easily be able to recognise changes to my contract?

All customer invoices clearly show the contract type. If your contract type displays “Out of Contract” then you will know that you are being charged on an Out of Contract rate basis. If your contract type displays “Deemed” then you will know that you are being charged on a Deemed rate basis.

If I use an energy broker, do you pay them a fee for introducing my business to you?

Yes. We may pay your broker a commission on one or both of the following bases:

(a) an uplift in pence per kWh incorporated into the Unit Charge you pay; and

(b) a fixed-price uplift incorporated into the Standing Charge you pay

Examples:

  • Say we offered a unit rate of 9.0p per kWh to which the broker applied an uplift of 0.5p per kWh, the contracted unit rate you would pay would be 9.5p per kWh. If your estimated annual gas consumption was 15,000 kWh and your supply contract was for a period of two years, the total estimated commission your broker will receive would be £150 (0.5p x 15,000 / 100 x), although the final amount may be dependent on your actual consumption.
  • Alternatively, say we offered a Standing Charge of £1.20 per day and the broker uplifts this by £0.20 per day, the contracted daily Standing Charge you would pay would be £1.40 per day. If your supply contract was for a period of two years, the total commission your broker will receive would be £146 (0.20 x 730). This would be a fixed rate independent of your consumption.

The level of uplift included within your supply contract is not determined by us and should be agreed between you and your broker when you procure their services.
